Telles Group’s mineral water innovates with new, 100% recyclable packaging, targeting consumers who value health, well-being and the environment
Naturágua, the mineral water company of the Telles Group that owns the most innovative brand on the market, will launch Premium in the first half of April – a sustainable and recyclable packaging that can be 100% reused, with a pH of 7.64. With an initial focus on the regional lifestyle and luxury markets, the new product, imported from the United States and still new in Brazil, was developed to meet the niche of consumers belonging to classes A and B who value health, well-being and are engaged with the environmental impacts generated by their personal and responsible consumption choices.
With an elegant and ultra-exclusive format, the new Premium is made of laminated aluminum, finely designed with environmental themes and a pilfer cap, and will be sold in two versions: orange (carbonated) and blue (still). Initially launched in Fortaleza and Ceará, where Naturágua has been present for over 30 years and is one of the main players in the market, the new product will be available for sale in restaurants, coffee shops, convenience stores and premium supermarket chains in the capital of Ceará. The new product will also be available in the main capitals and cities of the country in the coming months.
Recognized for its innovative projects and sustainable practices, Naturágua is a pioneer in the Northeast in the introduction of colorful 10 and 20L bottles, 70% alcohol wet wipes, 700ml Athletic, 9g light weight packaging and a complete mix of disposable packaging.
“As a result of a partnership with an international packaging company that operates in the luxury beverage market in several countries, we developed a product with an exclusive and unprecedented design to serve the premium market that could replace the sophistication of glass and the sustainability of cans and, at the same time, meet environmental issues”, highlights Aline Chaves, current president of Grupo Telles.
In recognition of this type of initiative and its uninterrupted commitment to good practices in environmental sustainability, social responsibility and innovation in management and products throughout its history, Naturágua is the only mineral water to have the ESG seal – a certification granted by the international institute Bureau Veritas Certification (BVC), a certifying body that audits and evaluates quality standards in production, marketing and respect for the environment, in partnership with the Federation of Industries of the State of Ceará (FIEC).
More than a decade ago, the company was the first mineral water manufacturer in the country to obtain and maintain ISO 22,000 – a management and food safety system certification granted by BVC. It is also the only company in Ceará that operates entirely with 100% clean energy, with its own 5MW solar park.
Another highlight is Floresta do Curió, an area of precious Atlantic Forest, covering more than 50 hectares, maintained and preserved by Naturágua, in the heart of the urban area of the capital of Ceará, located in front of one of its production units.
